Srinagar, February 1 (SNO):The Regional Transport Office (RTO) of Jammu & Kashmir has issued a public notice aimed at reducing inconvenience to the public by making most of its services accessible online. The notice emphasizes the department's commitment to minimizing physical visits and streamlining operations for the general public.
To address issues or queries, the RTO has introduced an official WhatsApp number (9622002432) for users to send text or audio messages. If unresolved within 72 hours, individuals can visit the office in person according to a specified schedule:
According to the News Agency—Srinagar News Observer (SNO)Monday & Tuesday: Registration and Re-registration services.
Wednesday & Thursday: Permits, trade certificates, pollution control centers, and driving license-related services.
Friday: Issuance/renewal of driving licenses, clearing license backlogs, and addressing miscellaneous issues.
In cases of holidays or unavailability of officials, services will be provided on Saturdays.
The department's initiative to adopt digital communication and structured in-office scheduling is expected to enhance efficiency and minimize public inconvenience.—(SNO)
